Editorial Policy
Every load-bearing claim on CasinoTell traces to a primary source, carries a verification date, and can be corrected by anyone who emails us. This page documents the rules we hold ourselves to.
Sourcing standards
We source in a fixed order: state statutes, regulators, and courts first; operators' own published documents second (terms of service, sweepstakes rules, About pages, licensing disclosures); established press and industry trade coverage third. Other affiliate or review sites are never a source of fact for us. Legality claims are our strictest class: we cite bill numbers and effective dates, and we classify each state by what a player can actually do today (announced, passed, effective, or live), because a signed law and a live ban are different things.
Verification and freshness
Each content page displays a "Last verified" date, which is the date its facts were last re-checked, not the date the page was written. This niche moves fast: states banned or restricted sweepstakes casinos repeatedly through 2025 and 2026, operators exit and enter states monthly, and ownership changes without press releases. Pages covering volatile facts get re-verified on a monthly sweep, and sooner when news breaks. Before we name any operator as available or recommended, we check that it is still operating and still serving the states we say it serves.
AI assistance, human accountability
CasinoTell drafts are produced with AI assistance and edited by a human. Every fact that matters (a law, a date, a company name, a number) is verified by a human against the sources described above before publication, and claims we could not verify are either removed or explicitly softened. AI helps us write; it does not decide what is true. Errors that slip through are ours, and the corrections process below applies to them without excuses.
How we make money
As of July 2026, CasinoTell has no affiliate relationships with any casino operator and receives no compensation from any company we cover. If that changes, we will disclose it on this page and on every affected page, plainly and near the links themselves. Two things will not change regardless of how the site is funded: a spot on our lists cannot be bought, and no operator can pay to improve how we describe it. Rankings and warnings are editorial decisions, and the day that stops being true, this site has no reason to exist.
Corrections
If we got something wrong, tell us at [email protected]. Verified corrections are made promptly, the page's verification date is updated, and materially significant fixes are noted on the page. We would rather be corrected than comfortable.
What this site is not
CasinoTell is information and analysis, not legal advice, not financial advice, and not an inducement to gamble. We operate no games and accept no wagers. If you are deciding whether gambling belongs in your life at all, start with our responsible gambling resources rather than with any guide on this site.
