About CasinoTell

CasinoTell is an independent research site about online casinos in the United States: where they are actually legal, how sweepstakes coins really work, what bonus terms hide, and which operators deserve your trust. We are not a casino. We take no wagers, host no games, and hold no gambling license, because we do not gamble you. We research.

Why "Tell"?

In poker, a tell is the involuntary signal that gives away the truth of a hand. Casinos have tells too. The wagering requirement buried in section 14 of the bonus terms. The company name at the bottom of the About page that leads to a six-month-old shell. The excluded-states list that quietly grew last month. The redemption minimum that moved. We read those signals across regulators' announcements, state statutes, sweepstakes rules, and the operators' own documents. Then we tell you what they mean, in plain English.

What we cover

Our guides focus on the questions that decide real outcomes: state-by-state legality (which changes monthly right now), the sweepstakes casino model and its 2025-26 ban wave, who owns the operators, how money actually moves in and out, how the games and their odds work, and how to keep play safe. We started with sweepstakes casinos because that is where the most Americans meet casino-style play and where honest information is scarcest.

How we work

Every page shows a "Last verified" date, and it means what it says: the load-bearing facts on that page were re-checked against primary sources on that date. Laws get cited by bill number. Ownership gets traced to named legal entities. Operators get an is-it-still-operating check before we ever name them. When we cannot verify something, we say so instead of rounding up. The full method is in our editorial policy.

Who this site is for

Adults, only. Legal real-money casinos in the US are 21+, and the major sweepstakes brands moved to 21+ as well. If gambling has stopped feeling like entertainment, our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help, starting with 1-800-GAMBLER.
